The mechanical type, also known as the float type, utilizes the density difference between condensed water and steam to raise or lower the float and drive the valve disc to open or close through changes in condensed water level, achieving the purpose of steam blockage and drainage. The mechanical type steam trap has a low undercooling and is not affected by working pressure and temperature changes. It can discharge water immediately and there is no water stored in the heating equipment, which can achieve optimal heat exchange efficiency of the heating equipment. The high back pressure rate is 80%, and the work quality is high. It is a drain valve for production process heating equipment.
Mechanical drain valves include free semi floating ball drain valves, free floating ball drain valves, inverted bucket drain valves, combined superheated steam drain valves, lever floating ball drain valves, etc
Free floating ball drain valve:
The structure of the free floating ball drain valve is simple, with only one finely ground stainless steel hollow floating ball inside. It is both a float and an opening and closing component, without any vulnerable parts, and has a long service life. The Binlun brand drain valve can automatically exhaust air and has high working quality.
When the equipment first starts working, the air in the pipeline is discharged through the Y-series automatic air exhaust device, and low-temperature condensate enters the drain valve. The liquid level of the condensate rises, the float ball rises, the valve opens, and the condensate is quickly discharged. Steam quickly enters the equipment, and the equipment heats up quickly. The temperature sensitive liquid of the Y-series automatic air exhaust device expands, and the automatic air exhaust device closes. The drain valve starts to work normally, and the float ball rises and falls with the condensate level, blocking steam and draining water. The valve seat of the free floating ball drain valve is always below the liquid level, forming a water seal, without steam leakage, and with good energy-saving effect. The small working pressure is 0.01Mpa, and within the range of 0.01Mpa to high working pressure, it is not affected by temperature and working pressure fluctuations, and continuously drains water. Capable of discharging condensate at saturation temperature, with a low undercooling of 0 ℃, and no water stored in the heating equipment, which can achieve optimal heat exchange efficiency. The back pressure rate is greater than 85%, making it the choice for steam traps in production process heating equipment.
Inverted bucket drain valve:
The interior of the inverted bucket type drain valve is a liquid level sensitive component with an inverted bucket. The bucket opening is downward, and the lever connecting the inverted bucket drives the valve core to open and close the valve. The inverted bucket drain valve can discharge air, is not afraid of water hammer, and has good anti fouling performance. Low undercooling, steam leakage rate less than 3%, high back pressure rate of 75%, more connections, and less sensitivity than free floating ball drain valves. Due to the fact that the inverted bucket drain valve relies on steam upward buoyancy to close the valve, it is not suitable for use when the working pressure difference is less than 0.1MPA.
When the device is just started, the air and low-temperature condensate in the pipeline enter the drain valve, and the inverted bucket falls by its own weight. The connecting lever of the inverted bucket drives the valve core to open the valve, and the air and low-temperature condensate are quickly discharged. When steam enters the inverted bucket, the steam generated by the inverted bucket generates upward buoyancy, and the upward connection lever of the inverted bucket drives the valve core to close the valve. There is a small hole on the inverted bucket. When some steam is discharged from the small hole, another part of the steam generates condensed water, causing the inverted bucket to lose buoyancy and sink by its own weight. The inverted bucket is connected to a lever to drive the valve core to open the valve, which circulates and intermittently discharges water.
Combined superheated steam drain valve:
The combined superheated steam trap has two isolated valve chambers, which are connected by two stainless steel pipes to the upper and lower valve chambers. It is a combination of floating ball and inverted bucket drain valves. The structure of the valve is reasonable, and it can timely discharge the condensed water formed when the superheated steam disappears under overheating, high pressure, and small load working conditions, effectively preventing the leakage of superheated steam, and the work quality is high. The high allowable temperature is 600 ℃, the valve body is made of all stainless steel, and the valve seat is made of hard alloy steel. It has a long service life and is the choice for superheated steam traps.
When the condensate enters the lower valve chamber, the float ball of the auxiliary valve rises with the liquid level, and the float ball seals the inlet pipe hole. The condensed water rises to the main valve chamber through the inlet pipe, and the inverted bucket falls under its own weight, driving the valve core to open the main valve and discharge the condensed water. When the condensate level in the auxiliary valve chamber drops, the float ball decreases with the liquid level, and the auxiliary valve opens. The steam enters the inverted bucket in the upper main valve chamber from the inlet pipe, and the inverted bucket generates upward buoyancy. The inverted bucket drives the valve core to close the main valve. When the condensate level in the auxiliary valve chamber rises again, the next cycle begins again, with intermittent drainage.
Lever floating ball drain valve:
The basic characteristics of the lever floating ball type steam trap are the same as that of the free floating ball type. The internal structure is that the floating ball is connected to the lever to drive the valve core, and the valve is opened and closed as the condensate level rises and falls. The lever float type steam trap uses double valve seats to increase the condensate discharge capacity, which can achieve small volume and large discharge capacity, with a drainage capacity of 100 tons/hour. It is the choice of steam trap for large heating equipment.
